Dr. Seuss's best-loved stories collide at the Schauer Arts & Activities Center on Friday, January 13 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, January 14 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm. Audiences will be charmed by the noble Horton the Elephant, the one-feathered bird Gertrude McFuzz, and the antics of the Cat in the Hat in this musical adventure.

Seussical, The Musical, Jr. centers around Horton the Elephant, who finds himself faced with a double challenge -- not only must he protect his tiny friend Jojo (and all the invisible Whos) from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

This production marks the seventh collaboration between the Schauer Community School of the Arts and North Shore Academy of the Arts' Stagekids Productions. Produced by the staff of North Shore Academy of the Arts, the cast includes: Lindsay Binns, Emily Braun, Samantha Cameron, Morgan Casetta, Kylie Cuculi, Josie Derosa, Kenna Derosa, Isabelle Draxler, Camila Ewing, Darick Fait, Estella Garcia, Kaylie Goodno, Jimmy Griffin, Mikaela Hanrahan, Morgan Hanrahan, Melanie Helvick, Erica Horst, Hailey Horst, Justine Horst, Naomi Horst, Kate Hosking, Ciara Jarmain, Alec Jarmain, Amanda Jones, Morgan Krebs, Taylor Loomans, Morgan Maresh, Connor Martin, Mackenzie Mas, Megan Mas, Macy McGuire, Jena Monroe, Lily Mottet, Hannah Mueller, Hunter Ott, Rachel Pfotenhauer, Hanna Podbielski, Sarah Prusha, Bryce Rufener, Amanda Ruona, Jane Schaub, Carly Schmidt, Jordyn Schultz, Emma Sievers, Mallorie Smits, Anthony Soto, Sadie Stelter, Cassidy Stodola, Jordyn Vogel, and Nathaniel Watter.
